PSA: Your Old Portal Assets Might Want a Trip Through the Bridge One Last Time

It is not often that you hear about critical infrastructure securing at least $1M quietly going offline.

Especially not through the grapevine.

Luckily enough, if you heard through the grapevine that someone asked nicely to bring it back online… you might already know the right people.

Still, I’m not thrilled that many of us are apparently learning about this through unofficial channels instead of clear public communication.

That said… before everyone panics:

Simply put:

If you still hold legacy Portal-wrapped assets on Algorand, it may be worth considering moving them back to their native chain using the legacy Portal Bridge and, if desired, bridging back using newer NTT-based infrastructure.

The ecosystem is moving toward canonical multichain assets and unified liquidity, which means older wrapped assets may slowly lose support over time.
